Rochester Chamber Winds "The Devil's Tale"

  • Wilmot Recital Hall - Nazareth College 4245 East Avenue Rochester, NY, 14618 United States (map)

This is a "must see concert" featuring numerous Nazareth College faculty and other local musicians in a collaboration of old and new! The concert opens with William Walton's delightfully popular Facade, a musical setting of poems by Edith Sitwell.  This work is paired with The Devil's Tale by James Stephenson.  The Devil's Tale was written in 2013 as a sequel to Stravinsky's L'Histoire du Soldat (Soldier's Tale) and uses Stravinsky's masterpiece as inspiration. This concert is the right thing to get you ready for Halloween!
